Anécdotas de mi visita mañanera aeropuerto:

Voy llegando al mostrador de Aeroméxico y me pregunta alguien del personal: "vuelo internacional?"
Yo: "sí"
Sr. AM: " a mano izquierda, por favor."
Inmediatamente in señor que viene detrás mío pregunta: "y para vuelos nacionales?"
Sr. AM: "a la izquierda también."
(... ok, se la pasamos... pero igual se me hizo chistoso)

Ya registrando mi maleta...
Srita. de AM: "A dónde viaja?"
Yo: " A San José vía Los Ángeles."
La srita. hace el papeleo correspondiente (medio lenta y con una cara de duda y sueño de temer para cualquier viajero adverso al riesgo). Me hace preguntas de rutina como mi dirección destino en EEUU y cuántas maletas voy a registrar. Sólo me da un pase de abordar. Pregunto: "el otro pase me lo dan en L.A.?"
Srita: "Va a San José del Cabo, verdad?"
Yo: "NO, a San José, California" (!!!)
Srita: "Ah, entonces déjeme cambio la etiqueta de su maleta."
...
Sólo me quedó darle la bendición a mi maleta y esperar que mi pase de abordar para L.A. sea válido. *sigh*

Para aliviar el estrés y curar parcialmente mi desvelada me dí una vuelta por la tienda del fonart :-)

Update: el rencor bajó aún más después del rico desayuno que sirvieron en el avión :D

Update 2: Mi maleta llegó a salvo. El problema fue que la señorita sólo le puso etiqueta para L.A. y tuve que llevarla conmigo a otra terminal para hacer el check-in otra vez. Si no es porque tenía mucho tiempo entre trasbordos, habría sido un problema. LAX es bastante grande. Queridos Delta y Aeroméxico: si van a vender vuelos que son operados por otras aerolíneas, mejoren sus sistemas operativos y permitan al menos que me dejen hacer el check-in desde mi primer vuelo. Atte. any frequent flyer.

Última nota: Es la primera vez que logro poner un post con el app que tengo de blogger en mi teléfono y no me gustó... no puedo escoger dónde poner las fotos y  me tardé mucho para que aceptara subir mi post (mandó muchos errores) para luego darme cuenta que se había subido el post 2 veces. Y aparte llena mi teléfono de publicidad barata. Esa app tiene sentencia de muerte.

On Airports -

I take the new post of Paris vs New York blog (which I love) to talk a bit about airports. With all the traveling I have had to do these past 2 years, I have developed a very relationship with these places. In some sense, it's a bit of routine by now; they are all too familiar. At the same time, I learned to appreciate little details here and there, like when they give you free WiFi. I love JFK's JetBlue terminal, and I don't really like Delta's. I don't really know Paris's airport that well, but CDG, that bus system that you have for going from terminal to terminal is hideous! 

Traveling so much has also made me try to minimize my stay at the airports as much as possible. That implies arriving so tight w.r.t to my departure time, that I have risked to miss some flights more than once. Then   I get scared of myself and try to arrive earlier... only to find that I forgot something - like when I forgot to bring my ID - and there is no time to go back home to get it.... It's all back and forth between my risk attitudes, and what I can do to kill time at the gates. How do you feel about airports?
